New Telephone Appointments

From the 17th July 2017 Ardingly Court Surgery will be working in partnership with Care UK to provide an additional telephone consultation service for registered Patients.

We are working with Care UK in an effort to reduce wait times for GP appointments. We hope that this expanded telephone service will allow all our patients better access to GP appointments at our surgery.

From Monday 17th of July, some routine calls will be dealt with by registered GP's from Care UK, you may be offered a call with one of these GP's when you request a same-day telephone call with a GP. This is similar to booking an appointment with a locum GP; they will have access to your records and to our booking system. If this GP feels that you need to be seen face-to-face by a GP or nurse they will offer you an appointment with us. This is exactly the same as the current Duty Doctor system that we use with our own GP's.

Registered patients medical records will be accessed by Care UK doctors as well as by their own practice doctors through a secure network. Information will not be used by any other third parties. The storage of medical records remains exactly the same.

Patients will be given the opportunity to ‘Opt-Out’ of the partnership service offered by Care UK by notifying the practice by the agreed process. Patients may also, subsequently, ‘Opt-In’ to the service at any given time by informing the practice reception staff. Please speak to reception if you wish to opt-out of this service.
